
About the Foundation
The Troy Savings Bank Charitable Foundation is the community legacy of the former Troy Savings Bank.
Although The Troy Savings Bank was acquired by another financial institution in 2004, the Foundation continues the Bank's proud charitable giving tradition. Today, the Foundation invests in community solutions in Albany and Rensselaer Counties of upstate New York. The Foundation works in partnership with nonprofit organizations, other private funders, and government entities. Together with these partners, the Foundation works to find solutions for challenging problems within its funding priority areas.


How We Serve Our Community
The Foundation focuses its grant making in three priority areas: Community Development, Youth Development, and Arts & Culture. These priority areas reflect the Foundation's commitment to building stronger communities, offering young people opportunities to develop new skills, and presenting enriching arts & cultural experiences for local residents.
Of special interest to the Foundation are programs that serve those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. In addition, the Foundation supports many youth development organizations that offer enriching activities for youth during non-school hours, including after school and summer camp programs. The Foundation also provides significant support to the world-renowned Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, ensuring that this acoustic and architectural treasure is maintained and preserved for community benefit.
